About Us

Our kennel name, Birdztheword, was registered with the Canadian Kennel Club on September 3, 2010. Located in Central Alberta, we are a small home based breeder of Flat-Coated Retrievers.  We have been involved with the breed since 2002, and occasionally plan a litter for the betterment of the breed.  We aim for exceptional temperament, longevity and the ability to perform in the show ring, field and/or obedience trials.
